Meet the Maker: Looking Glass Creamery

Looking Glass Creamery is a small family farm and creamery located in Columbus, NC with a cheese store a few miles southeast of Asheville in Fairview. Jennifer and Andy Perkins started the creamery a few years back—the natural evolution of Jennifer’s decade long passion for learning about livestock and cheesemaking. Jennifer and Andy work alongside three dedicated employees to handcraft some of the best cheeses the South has to offer—proudly made with milk from grass-fed cows on their dairy farm. Lucky for us, they also cook up dulce de leche sauce made the traditional way, cooking it slowly over a flame in a copper kettle for about 10 hours.
