Altamont

We named this box in honor of Asheville’s native son, Thomas Wolfe, who wrote about his hometown in the novel, Look Homeward Angel. In his most acclaimed work, Asheville was known as Altamont (“high hill” in Spanish).

For those who may not call Asheville home, the Altamont gift box holds an assortment of sweet and savory mountain favorites (it also happens to be vegan-friendly). We’ve included a reproduction vintage postcard that shows our mountain city, nestled among verdant forests, as seen from atop Beaucatcher Mountain.

All of our curated gift boxes include a Meet the Makers brochure that tells the stories of the each of the artisan makers of the products in your gift box. We include their websites so that you may get in touch with them directly.

Your gift box selection is handsomely packaged in a reusable, recycled, recyclable kraft box printed with our “in the Land of the Sky” design and tied with red & brown paper raffia. All items are shipped via USPS priority mail; allow 1-3 days for delivery. We will include a handwritten gift card greeting at no charge. Look for “gift message” when selecting your box.
